38 week bumpdate

How far along? Today we are 38 and 6 days along. Tomorrow we are one week away from our due date!
Baby Size: Baby Colin is the size of a watermelon- and I sure feel that way!
Total weight gain: 26 pounds
Maternity clothes? Now that my belly has really dropped, I am surprisingly able to fit into more pre-preggo clothes. I've been living in yoga pants and long and lean tank tops from target. At work, I'm surviving in dresses.
Stretch marks? Still have those red squiggly lines on my hip but I am confident they will fade
Sleep: Ha! Sleep is for the week. I am sleeping off an on. On Thursday we started getting contractions that have been making sleep interesting.
Best moment this week: Getting the news that our baby could arrive any day!!! My parents came down on Thursday when we started contracting. It's been so nice having them here with us. My mother in law came down yesterday and as well. Even if our little guy doesn't come this weekend (which I hope he does!), it's been nice spending the weekend as a family and getting in some last minute quality time pre-baby Colin. :)
Miss Anything? I am not at the point where I miss NOT being pregnant. I LOVED this experience and I LOVE growing our little miracle but I am ready to be able to do things normally again.
Movement: He loves kicking mommy's ribs this week.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular. The past few days I've been pretty sick to my stomach, which I hear is totally normal.
Anything making you queasy or sick: See above.
Gender: Sweet baby BOY!!
Labor Signs: I actually went into the doctors office Thursday morning to get checked as I wasn't sure if the contractions were "the real deal". We are 50% effaced and starting to dilate (1-2cm). I was having mild contractions every 5-10 minutes. That lasted through the day Saturday. Today, I am having more intense contractions, however, they are not 5-10 minutes apart. They are more like 12-20 minutes apart. Hoping desperately that we get to meet our sweet guy in the next few days!
Symptoms:  I have all the symptoms in the book. Stiff back, sore hips, queasy, contractions.
Belly Button in or out? I'm an outie now! I miss my cute little belly button.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Overall I'm in a great mood and excited to meet our little man!

Looking forward to: Meeting our son

37 weeks- we have progress!

Due Date:
June 03, 2013

Gender: Sweet baby BOY

Movement: Lots of movement from the little guy. He's been kicking a ton on my right side under my ribs.

Feeling: If I'm being honest, I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable. I'm SO crampy and having lots of mini contractions. The midwife says this is all normal and its all doing it's job because... we have progress! As of Friday's doctor appointment, we were 2 cm dilated and "very thin". :) I am hoping we will get to meet our little guy this week- fingers crossed!

Food Cravings: Not really hungry at all. My appetite is gone and eating is so uncomfortable with little room in the belly. I've been sticking to healthy foods as much as possible and ate a ton of greek yogurt with granola and berries this week.

Food Aversions: Food in general?

Clothes: I'm all over the place with clothes- all maternity bottoms but this week I wore a ton of maxi dresses- all non maternity!

Stretch Marks: ughhhh yes- well I think. I have bruise like red marks on my  hips but I'm confident they will fade.

Sleep: Sleep has gotten better this week!  I wake up to use the bathroom two-three times throughout the night and I'm able to fall back asleep thanks to my mom's genius body pillow idea. :)

Symptoms: cramping, contractions, back aches, heartburn, swollen hands and feet and sappy-ness. I am crying at everything!

What I Miss: I miss being able to move around easily and snuggle with my husband without being uncomfortable.

Best Moment: Hearing that we have made progress and our little guy is on his way here to meet us! I cried when the midwife told me the news. <3

Best week ever and a 36 week bump date

We officially had the best week ever!
To quote a post my Dad made on Facebook:
"What a truly amazing week we have had. It began last Saturday with the marriage of my brother in law, Alex and his wonderful new bride, Malia. A beautiful day for a beautiful couple. We even got a great new niece, Cadence in the bargain. We also learned that my son in law, John's brother, Mike became engaged to the love of his life, Taadie. We couldn't be happier for the two of them. We then celebrated John's graduation from Stevenson University on Thursday (way to go John!), and our wonderful son, Andrew's graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University yesterday. What an accomplishment. We couldn't be more proud. However, the greatest part of all of this is the love that surrounded all of these events, and the happiness of everyone involved.

Which brings me to this day, and the true love of my life, Mary Anne. What an amazing wife, partner, and mother she is. Happy Mother's Day to the best wife in the world. It has been a truly wonderful 40 years together, and it is only going to get better.

I have always known I have been blessed (Thank you Jesus!), but the blessings in my life this week are truly overwhelming with one more blessed event on its way. Our beautiful, daughter Caitlin is about to bless us with our first grandchild any day now, and I can't wait to meet the little guy."

You summed things up perfectly, Dad! Such an amazing week! Last weekend we celebrated my aunt and uncle's wedding and finished our baby moon. We also found out my brother in law and soon to be sister in law got engaged! My parents came into Town on Wednesday and we met Hub's family downtown for a celebratory graduation dinner at Flemmings Steakhouse- so yummy!
Thursday was hub's graduation- SO SO SO proud of him!
Friday Mom and Dad helped out with some things on our "honey do/nesting list" (THANK YOU!) and Mom and I got mani/pedis after work for Mother's day.
Saturday was the little brother's graduation- SO SO SO proud of him! We went out to another family celebratory dinner afterwards.
Sunday was Mother's day and Hubs made a wonderful breakfast while we all relaxed.

We had been waiting for this special week to arrive for a while and were SO happy that we were able to make it to all the celebrations. I had this week in my mind as the "Colin can't come before this date" week. Now that we have celebrated our butts off, we can safely wait for baby Colin to make his debut!

On Monday May 6th, we were 36 weeks pregnant! Holy cow- so close! Today, we are officially full term. :)
Total weight gain: At my doctors appointment on Friday I had gained about 25 pounds. I am SO swollen in my hands and feet and feel like I gained a whole bunch of water weight in the past few weeks.
How big is the baby? : Baby Colin Bennett is the size of a watermelon- and it shows!
Maternity clothes: Same as the past few weeks...making work what I can, but needing all maternity bottoms and mostly maternity tops. Loving the spring weather and taking advantage of some sun/maxi dresses from last year.
Stretch marks?: ughhhh yes- just the ones on my hips. They don't look like stretch marks though, they look like red bruises  Hoping they fade right after baby arrives- I've been massaging stretch mark cream on them like crazy! Positive outlook- even if they don't fade, they are a sign that I carried this miracle and cared for him for 9 months. <3
Sleep: My mom is officially a genius  She bought me a body pillow on Thursday and ever since- I've been sleeping MUCH better! I still have to wake up due to the frequent "calls of nature" but I am much more comfortable and able to fall back asleep. I also think I am generally just worn out from all this baby making which might make sleep a little easier.
Best moment this week: See above- there were SO many!!! A week of celebrations. It was also nice to hear from the midwife that Colin can safely make his debut at any time!
Movement:  You know it! Baby C is movin' and grovin' all over the place.
Food cravings: nothing too crazy. Ice cream/fro yo is still very appealing ;) I need to get my diet back on track as soon as baby comes- I am so antsy to get back to the gym!
Food aversions: Same as always- picky picky with meat
Labor signs: This is up in the air- having some Braxton hicks and cramping- all which the doc says is completely normal and to be expected. Just a few short weeks to go!
Belly button in or out: outtie
What I miss:  My body to myself. LOL. I LOVE carrying this baby and LOVE being pregnant but I am ready to be able to run, walk, get up, get comfortable an un-swell!
Pregnancy Symptoms: Every one in the book- to be expected at 9 months pregnant. Sleepless nights, pain in pelvis/pressure, frequent bathroom breaks, serious hand and feet swelling, crying at the drop of a hat, anxiousness for baby to come(!!) and just general uncomfortableness. All of this is to be expected and SO worth it!
What I'm looking forward to: Meeting our little man and enjoying the next few weeks with my hubs.

35 week bumpdate and a babymoon!

How far along? Today we are 36 weeks along- full term! On 4/29/13 we were 35 weeks
Baby Size: Baby Colin is the size of a cantaloupe
Total weight gain: Lets call it 24 pounds. It varies every day based on water retention- I'm all puffy in my hands and feet now
Maternity clothes? I'm all over the place still- loving non maternity maxi dresses, yoga pants and long and lean tank tops from target (see above!). I am wearing all maternity work bottoms (skirts and pants) and mostly maternity tops as well.
Stretch marks? Prayers to the stretch mark gods daily. I still have those red marks on my hips but I am confident they will fade after Colin comes.
Sleep: lets just say sleep is difficult now-a-days. The universe is prepping me for mommyhood, I'm sure.
Best moment this week: Our baby moon this past weekend was amazing. We had such an amazing time. I am seriously in love with my amazing husband. Below are a few pictures from our beach getaway.
Miss Anything? Same as the past few weeks...feeling like a normal person, lol. However, I am so thankful for such a smooth pregnancy and to be growing this beautiful baby boy.
Movement: Still movin' and groovin' a ton!
Food cravings: Nothing in particular- typical diet
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: Nope- not yet. At last week's doctors appointment we weren't dilated or effaced at all. In fact, they want to start me on primrose oil to get the ball rolling. My belly majorly dropped this past weekend- I can tell a difference from Monday's picture to the pictures from the beach. :)
Symptoms:  Back stiffness, swollen hands and feet, lack of sleep and belly pressure.
Belly Button in or out? I'm an outie now! I miss my cute little belly button.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Overall I'm in a great mood and excited to meet our little man!
Looking forward to: Meeting our son and my husband's graduation this Thursday!

34 week bumpdate- SO very PREGGO!

On Monday April 22nd, we were 34 weeks pregnant. Colin has reached his full birth height and is continuing to pack on the pounds!

Total weight gain: At my doctors appointment on Friday I had gained 22.5 pounds.
How big is the baby? : Baby Colin Bennett is the size of a large cantaloupe
Maternity clothes: Same as the past few weeks...making work what I can, but needing all maternity bottoms and mostly maternity tops.  If there is one thing I am noticing it is that... my belly is HUGE! I am certainly undeniably pregnant.
Stretch marks?: Sadly, I think my answer has changed. I don't have a single one on my belly and I don't think I will. However, I might have one on my hip of all places. Its a red line but it might be from constantly bumping into things- hope so! I've been stretch mark creaming that baby like crazy in hopes that it will disappear after delivery.
Sleep: TERRIBLE!  I am the definition of "sleep is for the weak" this week. I was having the constant urge to pee and pressure through the night, which made it very hard to get comfortable and a good nights rest... little did I know it was from kidney stones. At my appointment on Friday the doctor pointed out that I had a small amount of blood in my culture that was most likely due to a small infection. No big deal she said as it happens a lot to pregnant women when their bladder is completely smashed. They gave me an antibiotic for 7 days and sent me on my way. WELL- this weekend I had some pretty serious cramping, to the point where I was wondering if it was "go time". It would come and go but with several hours in between. By this morning- it was completely GONE and I was feeling great again. The doc called me back to give me the lab results from my culture which were negative for any bacteria. Therefore, based on this weekend's events, and the blood in my culture from Friday, she determined it was kidney stones. LOVELY. She said this is also common in pregnant women and I most likely passed them without a hitch. She did say "if you can pass kidney stones without extreme pain, you'll sail through labor!". Ha! I sure hope so.
Best moment this week: Spending some time with my hubs and soaking in those last few nights as a family of two (three including our fur child) <3 We went out to dinner on Saturday and then went to get some frozen yogurt. It was a really fun night. A couple sitting next to us started chatting us up about our obvious upcoming addition and giving us some words of encouragement.
Movement:  You know it! Baby C is on the move.
Food cravings: Fresh food and frozen yogurt. Loving salads at the moment.
Food aversions: Same as always- picky picky with meat
Labor signs: Thankfully, no!! Still need baby to cook a little bit longer.
Belly button in or out: I think I'm officially an outtie. Hubs keeps touching my belly asking if our turkey is done. :)
What I miss:  Running, running, running and feeling like a normal person. I cried Saturday morning due to a combo of a lack of sleep (from pain the night before), hormones and feeling like a blimp. Overall, my pregnancy has been beautiful and lovely, however, I am ready to have our little guy here.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I am officially waddling and have every pregnancy symptom in the book for this stage of pregnancy. Stiff legs, stiff back, big belly, huge booty.
What I'm looking forward to: our mini baby moon this weekend! <3

33 Weeks

Monday April 15th we were 33 weeks pregnant!

How far along? Today we are 33 weeks 6 days
Baby Size: Baby Colin is the size of a pineapple
Total weight gain: Lets call it 21 or 22 pounds. It varies every day based on water retention- all week it was back and forth between 21 and 22 pounds. Still on track for a healthy weight gain. :)
Maternity clothes? I'm all over the place. I look best in maxi dresses- all non maternity. I wore a maternity dress to work Thursday and based on pictures from  my surprise work baby shower- it was TOO small! Baby bump is getting HUGE!
Stretch marks? Prayers to the stretch mark gods daily- none so far!
Sleep: Still hit or miss. Some nights its great and others not so much. The humidifier and a pillow between my legs definitely help me get comfy.
Best moment this week: My surprise baby shower on Thursday at work. My co-workers did such a great job surprising me. Once again, Baby Colin was spoiled rotten! We got our jogging stroller, our rock n play sleeper and two fifty dollar gift cards- one to each of our registries.
See what I mean about the dress?
Miss Anything? Feeling like a normal person, lol. Vague answer but I'm starting to resent everyone that can stand up, get up, move around with out a struggle. I am also majorly missing running.
Movement: Still movin' and groovin'!
Food cravings: Loving anything refreshing. I think its the springtime weather! Lemonade, water with crushed ice and lemon, salad. I also love my husband's yummy pancakes on the weekends! Eating some as we speak! :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: My husband said it best yesterday- I'm just picky all around. Still don't like meat or seafood but I was able to eat shrimp scampi this week- and ENJOYED IT!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: Nope. Baby still needs to stay in there and cook for a few more weeks. He needs to pack on the pounds!
Symptoms: Serious lower back stiffness. I've also noticed some more water retention that normal. I'm in the process of chugging water to see if that helps.
Belly Button in or out? Still at a halfie status...practically an outie now! I miss my cute little belly button.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Overall I'm in a great mood. I'm loving the bond that hubs and I have and enjoying the time we are spending together before Colin's debut. With that said, when my back is killing me, it is hard to not be a bit grouchy. :-/
Looking forward to: Meeting our son!  I'm also really looking forward to our mini baby moon in two weeks!!!

32 week bumpdate- 8 weeks to go!

Monday 4/8/13 we were 32 weeks pregnant- 8 weeks or less until we meet our sweet little man!

Due Date: June 03, 2013

Gender: Sweet baby BOY

Movement: Tons of movement going on - kicking, punching and rolling, hiccuping.

Feeling: Feeling really, really good! Getting very excited to meet our baby, but a little nervous about "the big day".  I have some aches and pains throughout the day- nothing too serious. Colin's toes are definitely hanging out under my ribs which is a little uncomfortable and my back is pretty tired by the end of the day, but that is to be expected as the belly grows (and grows!). I'm also sleeping a little better this week. Overall, I'm feeling great and loving this pregnancy! I will certainly miss being pregnant in a few weeks.

Food Cravings: No true cravings, but I'm still loving fruit and frozen yogurt. I have been craving healthy food this past week- might have something to do with the gorgeous summer weather we've been having! Watermelon, strawberries, yogurt, salad- yes please! I've also been continuing to chug the H2O- can't seem to get enough!

Food Aversions: seafood- still not appealing

Clothes: I'm all over the place with clothes- all maternity bottoms but this week I wore a ton of maxi dresses- all non maternity!

Stretch Marks: None -- Cocoa butter and prayers to the stretch mark Gods that I make it to the end without any!

Sleep: Sleep has gotten better this week!  I wake up to use the bathroom about once or twice throughout the night and my back aches a little, but it's become much more bearable with a pillow between my legs.

Symptoms: Heartburn, shortness of breath when C "kicks" my lungs, frequent potty breaks, minor aches and pains when I first stand up after sitting for a while. Hubs has been wonderful about giving me some massages in the evenings to help out my aches- I'm so lucky to have such a supportive guy <3.

What I Miss: Being comfortable over all. I miss being able to move around easily- get up without grunting/struggling and the weather has me missing my outdoor runs.

Best Moment: This week it was so sweet having hubs look at me and smile, I know he was smiling at the belly and the fact that we are soon going to be parents! He also got to feel Colin's hiccups this week, which was hilarious.

31 Week Bumpdate- busy week!

On Monday April 1st we were 31 weeks pregnant. What an exciting week this was for the Robinson family! The week started off with a minor hitch... I was in a fender bender on Tuesday morning on my way to work. I was hit leaving my neighborhood by one of the construction workers. No major damage and baby Colin and I are just fine. We did have to go to the hospital for a few hours of monitoring just to be safe. I am certainly glad we did- gave us peace of mind to know that baby was just fine.

Tuesday evening baby and I left for a business trip to Memphis. We ate SO much Memphis BBQ!!! So delish. :) I had a great trip with my coworkers and gave two great presentations- last business trip before baby arrives.

We came back late Thursday night and had off Friday. I ran some errands, cleaned, made a banner for our maternity shoot and got a much needed mani/pedi. Friday night we headed up to my parents house for what I thought was an honorary decon dinner for my Dad. Little did I know- it was a suprise baby shower for baby Colin! I will do an entirely separate post on the shower once I get some additional pictures from my parent's camera. All I will say now is that it was absolutley perfect. BIG HUGE thank you to my Mom (Gram) and my BFF (Aunt Julie)- you two blew me away, once again.

Today we had a beautiful maternity photoshoot with our friend Kipp! She posted two sneak peak photos already and they are STUNNING!!! We had a blast shooting and the weather was perfect. We can't wait to see the rest of the photos.

Now for the bumpdate! Baby Colin is the size of four navel oranges, weighs just under four pounds and is moving like crazy! He is squirming all over trying to get comfy in his close quarters.

Total weight gain: At my doctors appointment on Friday I had gained 18 pounds.
How big is the baby? : Baby Colin Bennett is the size of four navel oranges
Maternity clothes: Making work what I can, but needing all maternity bottoms and mostly maternity tops. I've discovered t-shirt maxi dresses from old navy and am in LOVE. They are perfect for the bump and I will be able to wear them this summer post delivery. I am not buying ANY more maternity clothes with only 9 weeks left to go so I will make it work.
Stretch marks?: Not yet... and hopefully not at all! A co-worker of mine had a baby last month and said she didn't have them until 37 weeks and then they appeared! I'm hoping that is not the case with me.
Sleep: I was sleeping a little better this week. Still not great, but I'll take what I can get. I certainly don't mind being woken up by my sweet boy moving around.
Best moment this week: Hands down- it was the baby shower. I also loved our maternity shoot. Just when I think I can't possibly love my husband any more than I already do, he goes and acts even more amazing. This pregnancy has brought us closer together and I love him more and more each day. He was so sweet and loving during the shower and the shoot today- such a catch.
Movement:  big time! Little man is dancing all over the place
Food cravings: Nothing crazy- still craving sweats more than I did before pregnancy, but it is not out of control.
Food aversions: Meat in general is still unappealing- but that Memphis BBQ was AMAZING. I can tolerate meat if it always tastes that good. :)
Labor signs: Not yet. Crazy to think that this answer will be changing in a few short weeks.
Belly button in or out: Becoming an outtie.
What I miss:  Having the energy to get everything done that I want to get done. Trying to get one "thing" done each day on my "pre Colin to do list". ;) I also REALLY miss running. The turn in the weather has made me get the "running itch". I am looking forward to when I can run again and take Colin out in the jogging stroller. I am hoping to run at least a 10k race this fall.
Pregnancy Symptoms: Nothing new here- stiff back at the end of the day, heartburn, slight waddle when I walk ;)
What I'm looking forward to: Getting the nursery put together. We have so many things to wash and organize after the shower- can't wait!!!

Us, latley and a 30 week bumpdate

I fee like our lives have been so busy lately! We've been getting a lot done around the house and knocking things off our "to do" list before baby Colin arrives.

We've also been doing a lot of visiting and seeing family and friends, which has been so wonderful. Two weeks ago we visited with John's aunt and uncle for the weekend to celebrate St. Patty's day. We went to a local bar, played pool and caught up on recent happenings. I traveled for work the week after and will be traveling again tomorrow for the week! Last work trip before baby arrives. The following weekend I went to visit our friend's Chip and Kristin's new baby boy, Landon. Such a cutie!! It was great to see them and spend time with their adorable kiddos. While I was visiting, hubs was busy painting at his sisters house and catching up with his family. This past weekend for Easter, my family came to visit on Friday and we had a few great meals and spent some quality time together. we had a mini photo shoot with my brother and hubs since both of them are graduating in May. Mom wanted some pictures of the boys together in their robes. I have some editing to do of the pictures, but here is a sneak peak of the picture they took with baby c. ;) Yes, I am wearing my husbands pants, don't judge me they are comfy!

I loved this past weekend- it was relaxing and just what we needed. We ate, worked on a 1000 piece puzzle, mom and I shopped, we tried out a new church and we relaxed. I hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter as well!

On Monday 3-25-13 we hit the 30 week mark! Colin can officially use all five of his senses. He is growing at such a rapid pace and will be ready to greet the world in just a few short weeks! We can't wait to meet our little guy. I am excited to start finalizing his nursery and getting all our nesting done. ;)

Cravings: Still having some cravings for frozen yogurt! Love the stuff. I've also been enjoying fruit and water- so thirsty.
Any foods you don’t want: Meat... surprised by this answer?
Symptoms? Back aches, heartburn, frequent potty breaks, thirst and shortness of breath. I'm definitely slowing down A LOT. I went to the gym with mom on Saturday and enjoyed the workout but it was MUCH harder to get through a 20 minute tredmill walk than I expected. Just a few months ago I was running 6 miles like it was nothing!!! I'm excited to get my energy back once Colin makes his debut. I'm also noticing that he gets the hiccups a lot. I feel them at least every other day- poor little guy takes after his mama in that department. I scarf down my meals and get hiccups all the time! ;)
Showing: Big old baby bump <3
Boy or Girl? snakes, snails and puppy dog tails- that's what little boys are made of.
Bought anything? On Saturday Mom and I bought a storage shelf and baskets for his toys and a lamp for his room from Ikea. I love the lamp!! I also bought closet organizers and a shelf for above his dresser last week with hubs. The furniture gets delivered this Thursday- can't wait to start seeing his nursery come together.
Shopping for anything?  We need to get the curtain rods for his curtains and his crib mattress next. After the baby shower I'm sure we'll need to evaluate everything we have and what is left to buy and start knocking the essentials off the list.
The Dad to be? Adorable. I know he is getting more and more excited to meet his son. This past weekend he said "I think I'm nesting too!", which was super cute. Thanks for making me feel less crazy babe! <3
Most recent appointment? Two weeks ago I had a regular check up. Colin is head down and measuring right on time! My BP looked great and the results of my glucose test were normal. We have two week appointments moving forward until about 36 weeks when we start going weekly. Hard to believe we are getting so close to holding our sweet boy in our arms.
Next appointment? This Friday we have our next appointment. After our birthing class a few weeks ago, we have a few questions for our midwife that we are looking forward to asking. Time to wrap up some loose ends!

Below is another "30 week" picture taken this past Saturday at 30 weeks 5 days. I really wish Mondays weren't my days for the weekly picture- Mondays are tough!!! ;)

Have a great week! -Mama Cait

29 week bumpdate

On Monday 3/18 we were 29 weeks along. 11 weeks until we meet our little boy! The second trimester certainly flew by and I'm starting to think the third one will too!

I am certainly slowing down a little bit as the weeks roll by... This week was by far the most tired/achy I've been since the firs trimester- but when I don't test my limits and know when to rest, I am still feeling great! All the symptoms I'm feeling are to be expected and there is nothing that I can't handle. Overall- I have a good amount of energy when I rest/take my time, I'm eating well, still exercising and feel healthy overall. I can't really complain! :)

However....I had a one day business trip to Memphis on Thursday that involved four different flights (a transfer both on the way down and back) and I was completely exhausted. I left the house at 5:45 am and didn't get home until after midnight. My limits were BEYOND tested and I still feel like I'm "recovering".  I definitely was cranky, achy and so so tired when I got home. The next evening, I treated myself to a much needed mani/pedi and a relaxing night at home with the hubs.

Total weight gain: At my doctors appointment on Friday morning I was 17 pounds up. However, I was completely clothed and wearing shoes. When I got home and weighed myself- sans clothes and shoes- I was up 16 pounds. Doc says we are right on track.

How big is the baby? : Baby Colin Bennett is the size of a head of cabbage or butternut squash. He weighs just about 3 pounds and is about 17 inches long.
Maternity clothes: Making work what I can, but needing all maternity bottoms. I'm ready for a change in the weather so I can break out some of my maxi dresses- I think they will still fit and look great for spring! :)
Stretch marks?: Not yet... and hopefully not at all!
Sleep: Eh- still hit or miss with more miss than hit. I am falling asleep well but waking up from about 12-2 to use the bathroom and having a really hard time falling back to sleep. I toss and turn a lot trying to get this big belly comfy.
Best moment this week: Going to prepared childbirth class with hubs was by far the best moment this week. He was so attentive and interested in everything the instructor said. When we tried different birthing positions and massage techniques he was so supportive and encouraging. I know he'll do so well when it's finally "go time". It was also so helpful for me to hear a little more about what to expect. I've been reading books and blogs as much as possible, but I don't think it ever hurts to keep learning until the day of. The class certainly helped to ease my anxiety a little about the big day.
It was also nice to hear at our appointment on Friday that little man is head down and in "position" and that we are both healthy. As always, I love hearing his heartbeat<3. We are officially in the "every two week" zone for appointments!
Movement:  big time! Little man is kicking and punching up a storm!
Food cravings: Nothing crazy- still craving sweats more than I did before pregnancy, but it is not out of control.
Food aversions: Meat in general is still unappealing. The one negative piece of news we received at our appointment is that my iron is a little low so we need to increase my supplements, meat intake and green leafy veggies. I'm doing it for you little guy- want to make sure you are healthy! <3
Labor signs: No way Jose
Belly button in or out: Flat- not really in or out!
What I miss:  Having the energy to get everything done that I want to get done. Trying to get one "thing" done each day on my "pre Colin to do list". ;)
Pregnancy Symptoms: Big boobs, Big belly! I am certainly undeniably pregnant! My back is stiff by the end of the day and I'm certainly slowing down. The heartburn is still creeping up, but I am learning what foods trigger it and attempting to avoid them or eat them in smaller quantities.
What I'm looking forward to: Our upcoming maternity pictures in two weeks and starting to get the nursery put together. <3

Baby Colin-
Mommy and Daddy are getting more and more excited for your arrival. We are getting your room ready and preparing all of your things as they come in! You are certainly loved so much all ready and I know that when we see you and hold you for the first time, you will capture our hearts for eternity. Just a few more weeks to go until we get to meet you and get to know your sweet little personality! Love you to the moon and back.
